Gazebo Calendar & Reservation Request Form
Gazebo Etiquette
Since we have quite a few new people in the neighborhood, the Board thought it might be appropriate to remind everyone about “gazebo etiquette.”
If you wish to have a private party at the gazebo:
You must call the treasurer to reserve the gazebo. You should do this as soon as you know you want to use the facility but at least two weeks prior to the event.
There is a $25.00 fee for each use which is to be paid at least two weeks prior to the event. Checks should be made payable to Bon Haven Community Association and given to the treasurer.
Renting the gazebo gives you exclusive use of the gazebo. However, other community members are permitted to use the other facilities at the beach. Post a “Reserved” notice at the gazebo two weeks prior to your event so that community members know that they will be unable to use the gazebo.
As a courtesy to your neighbors, please limit the number of nonmember cars parked at the gazebo. That way, if other community members want to use the facilities or their boats, they will have parking available.
As a courtesy to your neighbors, your party should end by 11:00 p.m.
After your party:
You are responsible for removing all the trash and recyclables from the beach area. The fireplace and refrigerator must be clean. You must make sure that the gazebo and the grounds are clean. Clean up should be immediately after your party or not later than 10:00 a.m. of the following day. This is especially important if another party is scheduled for the following day.
If you trailer your boat:
Please be aware of how many other people are using the facilities. You may need to take your trailer out of the area to allow parking for other cars. This is particularly important on weekends and holidays during the summer when there is a lot of activity at the beach. If someone has a party scheduled, please do not leave your trailer at the beach.
General:
It is everyone’s responsibility to keep the area clean on a daily basis. Do not leave crabbing chicken in the trash to rot. Also, if you eat crabs at the beach, please take your shells up with you as they attract bees.
